Day 01: Arrive Delhi

Arrive into Delhi
Welcome to Vardhman's 'Nepal Tour Package'! On arrival in Delhi, you
will will be met and transferred by Vardhman's representative to your
hotel. Rest of the day at leisure.

Day 02: Delhi
This morning after a leisurely breakfast proceed for the sightseeing
of Delhi.
Visit Qutab Minar, Humayun's tomb, Lakshminarayan Temple, a modern
Hindu Temple, Parliament House, Government Secretarial Building
and Connaught place, the shopping centre of New Delhi.
Visit Red Fort, built in 1648 by Mughal Emperor Shahjehan, Jama
Masjid, one of the largest Mosque of India, Raj Ghat and Shanti
Vana, the cremation sites of Mahatama Gandhi and Jawaharlal Nehru.
Also drive past Chandni Chowk, shopping centre of Old Delhi.

Day 03: Delhi - Jaipur
This morning after breakfast drive to the Pink City- Jaipur
and upon arrival, transfer to your pre-booked hotel. Rest of the
day at leisure

Day 04: Jaipur
City tour of Jaipur
This morning you will experience the wonders of this magical pink
city, as you proceed on a tour of Amber fort - which is set on the
dry wrinkled Aravali Hills, and surrounded by fortified battlements.
Later visit the Jagmandir or the Hall of victory glittering with
mirrors, Maharaja's City Palace and the Observatory - The Solar
Observatory - an astronomical treasure house, with solar device
that give accurate predictions till date. The City Palace reflects
a blend of Rajasthani and Mughal architecture. Drive past Hawa Mahal
or the Palace of Winds, a five-storied structure of pink sandstone
with semi-octagonal and delicately honeycombed windows overlooking
the main street of the old city and through the rose pink residential
and business areas of Jaipur.

Day 05: Jaipur-Fatehpur Sikri-Agra
Morning drive to the "Romatic City of Taj Mahal- Agra"
visiting enroute Fatehpur Sikri.
Fatehpur Sikri, the birth story of this beautiful city is interesting.
There, in a grotto in Sikri, lived a Muslim Saint , Sheikh Salim
Chishti by name. Akbar hearing of his renown, asked of the blessings
of a son, and when a son was born, not only was the child named
Salim, the site for a mighty and ambitious project - a city - was
chosen near the residence of the saint erected in k1569. The shortage
of water lead to the desertion of this city. Visit the mosque of
Salim Chishti, Panch Mahal and other Palaces.
On arrival, check-in at the hotel. Rest of the day free.

Day 06: Agra
Early on the morning visit Taj Mahal (Closed on every Friday)
during sunrise and return to the hotel for breakfast.
Later proceed for the sightseeing tour of Agra. Agra, the home of
the immortal Taj Mahal, the inimitable poem in white marble is the
first expression of love of an Emperor Shahjehan for his queen Mumtaz
Mahal. This great monument was completed in 1653 AD. Agra Fort,
the imposing structure on the banks of the river Yamuna is replete
with priceless examples of craftsmanship in the Mughal period, including
the beautiful pearl Mosque, it was designed and built by Emperor
Akbar in 1565 AD. Tomb of Itimad-ud-Daulah built between 1622 AD
by Empress Nur Jehan, in memory of her father, Ghias-id-Din Beg.,
it is considered a precusor of the Taj Mahal.

Day 07: Agra -Jhansi - Khajuraho
After breakfast transfer to Railway station to catch train for
Jhansi
0800 hrs Leave for Jhansi by train no 2002.
1048 hrs Arrive Jhansi and directly proceed to Khajuraho. Enroute
visit Orchha. Upon arrival, check into your hotel.

Day 08: Khajuraho
Full day city tour of Khajuraho
Visit the world famous Khajuraho temples were built by the Chandela
kings between 950 AD and 1050 AD. The most important are the Chaunset
Yogini Temple dedicated to Goddess Kali, The Mahadev Temple, Chitragupta
or Bharatji Temple with a lovely image of 11 headed Vishnu, Vishvanath
and Nandi Temples, Lakshmana Temple, Visha Temple of Shiva, which
is the largest & most typical of temples. Visit the Eastern
group of temples that consist of the Parasvanath Temple - the only
Jain Temple surviving at Khajuraho and has excellent sculptures
on the outer walls of the Sanctum, the Javeri Temple dedicated to
Vishnu. The other temples in this group are those dedicated to Brahma,
Yamuna and Adinath.

Day 09: Khajuraho - Varanasi Flight
Transfer to the airport to catch flight for Varanasi. On arrival,
transfer to the hotel.
Afternoon proceed for the city sightseeing tour. Varanasi, one of
the oldest living cities in the world, believed to be founded 3000
years ago, is one of the 7 holiest cities of Hindus.

Day 10: Varanasi
Early morning enjoy boat cruise (at your own cost) on river
Ganges. Thousands of pilgrims throng the water's edge, bathing,
worshipping, meditating. On stone platforms under palm leaf umbrellas,
the Pandas-Brahmin priests preside over rites and rituals.

Day 11: Varanasi - Kathmandu flight
Morning at leisure.
1310 hrs - Leave for Kathmandu by flight.
1420 hrs - Arrive Kathmandu and trasfer to hotel.
Kathmandu airport. Meet, assist and transfer to your hotel. Later
proceed on a tour of Kathmandu. The city is a concentration of temples.
Visit Hanuman Dhoka, Kal Bhairav, Kumari Mandap, the museum and
bazaar. Later return to your hotel. .

Day 12: Kathmandu
Morning proceed for the sightseeing tour of Kathmandu.
Visit Machhendra Nath Temple, a two tiered bronze roof pagoda, Hanuman
Dhoka - the historic seat of Royalty, Durbar Square which houses
Teleju temple built in 1549 AD, figure of Kal Bhairav - God of Destruction,
statue of King Pratap Malla, Temple House of Kumari - the residence
of living Goddess.

Day 13: Kathmandu
Morning visit Bhadgaon (Bhaktapur) means the city of devotees,
situated at an altitude of 4600 ft., 13 kms east of Kathmandu. Durbar
Square - the main Square of the city contains the Lion Gate with
the lovely stone figures of Hanuman, Bhairav and Narsingha Narayan.

Day 14: Kathmandu - Delhi flight
This morning transfer airport to catch flight for Delhi. On
arrival at Delhi domestic airport transfer to Delhi International
airport (by shuttle service available free of cost at the airport)
to board flight for your onward journey to back home with sweet
and unforgettable memories of "Nepal Package Tour" escorted
by Vardhman Vacations.
